Additional Location(s): Palo Alto, CaliforniaApply NowThe end user computing product marketing team is looking for a senior industry vertical product marketing manager to focus on spotlighting our value proposition across key industry verticals including government, healthcare, financial services and education.To start, this role will focus on Federal Verticals. The role will require excellent cross-team relationship building skills working across sales, field marketing and product management in order to help define and communicate the value of end user computing vertical solutions.Central to the role will be the development of vertical specific go-to-market plans requiring an understanding of the industry drivers, challenges and regulatory requirements. The ability to quickly absorb industry specific nuances in terminology and regulations is critical.The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills, able to communicate the value of EUC solutions in customer presentations, webinars and industry events.Examples here: Responsibilities
  • Deliver industry go-to-market plans to grow EUC in verticals
  • Define compelling industry specific use cases that maximize the value of VMware end user computing solutions
  • Create a compelling customer journey of content that communicates value at all levels of the buying process
  • Work closely with industry specific sales teams to understand customer issues and how VMware solutions apply
  • Work with product management to identify industry gaps and potential industry specific solutions
  • Identify and deliver compelling content to meet the different sales funnel stage needs.
  • Identify and support high-value industry events to accelerate industry specific growth for EUC
  • Create a go-to-market strategy to successfully launch new solutions and lead successful execution of this plan across functional teams.

  • Acquire sufficient technical understanding of products, technologies and industry to translate product details into clear business benefits.

  • Drive comprehensive market research using both primary/secondary data to support segmentation , packaging , pricing , positioning , business value decisions

  • Engage directly with the field sales teams on enabling business value conversations with customers , strategic deal structuring and analysis and approvals framework for deal exceptions
  • Required Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 6 years of relevant work experience in Strategic Marketing areas in a Technology company
  • Strong writing, presentation and content creation skills to deliver compelling industry specific content
  • Ability to create customer-facing presentation content independently, author detailed market research documents, and conduct pricing and packaging proposals
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize large volume of data and deal with complex uncertain scenarios and incomplete information
  • Ability to communicate at an executive level with compelling , clear , logical and data driven arguments
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, comfortable delivering presentations to large audiences on an international scale.
  • Solid knowledge of the IT vendor ecosystem.
  • Intellectual curiosity & willingness to take ownership of deliverables.
