Why can’t I just post jobs to Google for Jobs myself?

The complex schema that Google requires for your job to appear on Google for Jobs requires that you have a working knowledge of HTML and the JSON file format. You will also need a Google Index API account, and the expertise to work with the Google Index API. Lastly, you will need direct access to the underlying code on your job posting page to update the HTML with the required schema. Further, since each job is unique, you will need to go through this complex and time-consuming process for each job you post to your site. The technical knowledge, systems-level access, and time to perform these functions on each post are simply out of the reach of most recruiters and talent acquisition team members.
